Sherry Harrington

Sherry Harrington specializes in oil painting of Native American women and children. Traveling each year into the Navajo Nation, Sherry poses her models in their traditional clothing.  Spending time with the families has brought a very special friendship. Along with the Native American, calls for commission paintings of officials, and individuals are also much enjoyed. Painting the striking features of the different Native people, and learning more about their history has long been a passion.

Past paintings have been chosen for cover art for two children’s books, Native Foods of the North American Indian and Native American Tribes. Sherry is represented by Big Horn Galleries in Cody, Wyoming and in Tubac, Arizona. Sherry participates in the Briscoe Western Art Museum’s Night of Artists show, Settlers West Galleries’ American Miniature Show, Trailside Masters in Miniature Exhibition & Sale.
