Cliff Cavin

Cliff Cavin was born in San Antonio, Texas and has been painting professionally since he was 19 years old. He is equally talented in both oils and watercolors, having studied under such notable artists as Warren Hunter, George Hughey, William Reese and Wilson Hurley. He has also attended many workshops with The Cowboy Artists of America. His work is represented in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad. San Antonio Magazine, Southwest Art, Art of the West, Fine Art Connoisseur, NHome Texas Magazine and Hill Country Life are some of the publications in which Cliff has been mentioned.  Cliff continually participates in many art shows and exhibits, such as The Briscoe Museum Western Art Show, The Russell Museum Invitational Sale & Benefit, The American Plains Museum Exhibition, Oil Painters of America, Alamo Kiwanis Western Art Show and The Southwest School of Art Exhibition.

Cliff’s primary focus is on oil painting, particularly the landscape. He is noted for his ability to capture light, and his use of color defines the beauty and strength he finds in the natural world.
