Student tours emphasize critical thinking and object-based learning. Docents create opportunities for students to draw connections between works of art and curricular standards in Fine Arts and Social Studies. Student tours are scheduled at least three weeks in advance and are offered Tuesday through Friday at 10:00am.
Docent-led student tours are free! We also offer bus reimbursement for schools in need; for more information, please inquire about the Briscoe Bus Fund when scheduling your tour.
To be placed on our Educator Mailing List, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and put ‘Mailing List’ in the subject line. Include your name, school, and contact information in the body of the email.
The Briscoe Museum welcomes homeschool groups. However, please note that our docent-led student tours are facilitated at a ratio of 1 docent to 10 students (+1-2 chaperone(s). In some circumstances it may be more appropriate for homeschool groups to opt for a self-guided experience. Please contact Tours@BriscoeMuseum.org to discuss the options most appropriate for your students.
