*Ron Ukrainetz

Born and raised in Great Falls, Montana, Ron Ukrainetz is a lifelong artist. During his 34-plus years as a professional artist, he has garnered awards from numerous shows across the country. He has been featured in magazines such as Western Art Collector, Cowboys & Indians, Fine Art Connoisseur, Wildlife Art Magazine and The Artists Magazine. Ukrainetz is a living master in acrylics on engraved Claybord (polychromatic engraving). He also favors oil paints, graphite, and etchings.

Ukrainetz has illustrated books, flyers, and articles for the Audubon Society, Birders World, Montana FWP, Grounded Eagle Foundation, National Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, and countless others. He provided more than 150 historically accurate illustrations for the National Lewis and Clark Re-enactors Manual. Currently, he is working on a pair of instructional books and DVD for engraving techniques on Claybord that are scheduled for completion in 2017.

Ukrainetz has received the 2006 and 2007 Top 72 “Best of America” award from the National Oil and Acrylics Painters Society and eight consecutive PaintAmerica Top 100 or Top 50 awards. He has participated in the C.M. Russell Museum's art auction every year since 1995. Ukrainetz is a member of Oil Painters of America, PaintAmerica Master’s Circle Society, National Oil and Acrylics Painter’s Society, and American Impressionists Society. He is also a founding member and past president of Montana Painter’s Alliance, co-founder of the Young Masters Art Program for Montana, and a founding member and chairman of the board of trustees for the Out West Art Foundation, Inc.
