Join Adrian Davila of Davila’s BBQ, acclaimed pitmaster and author, for an in-depth, hands-on demonstration on Texas’ first love, barbecue.
Learn firsthand the culinary traditions used by the vaquero and vaquera as third-generation pitmaster Adrian will guide you through perfecting Texas barbecue on the pit in our McNutt Sculpture Garden while discussing barbecue and the traditional cooking methods from our region’s rich history. Following the presentation and hands-on demonstration, guests will enjoy a three-course tasting featuring recipes from Adrian’s cookbook: Cowboy Barbecue: Fire & Smoke from the Original Texas Vaqueros.
Adrian Davila of Davila’s BBQ is a world-recognized barbecue pitmaster and author, having been featured as a guest chef on Food Network’s “The Kitchen” and restaurants La Fama Barbecue and The Ugly American, in Bogota, Colombia.
The evening includes:
