The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven

Sherman Alexie’s collection of interconnected short stories, The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven, vividly weaves memory, fantasy, and stark reality to paint a portrait of life in and around the Spokane Indian reservation. The collection served as the basis for the award-winning movie Smoke Signals, which we will screen as part of the Briscoe Summer Film Series on June 9.

Briscoe Book Club is FREE and will meet at 6:30pm in the Clingman Education Gallery. Briscoe Book Club is led by Dr. Paivi Hoikkala, faculty member at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
