Presentation by Hipolito Rafael Chacón
Charles M. Russell’s career spanned the period at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries when the art world was characterized by a dizzying array of competing art movements or “-isms.” In this illustrated talk, Professor Rafael Chacón, PhD, (University of Montana-Missoula), speaks to the complexity of society and how artists in the American West responded.
