Join us for a Gallery Talk at the Briscoe Western Art Museum for a discussion of how the Spanish colonial mission sites shaped the American West. The program makes the connections between Spanish colonialism, the mission sites, and icons of the West like the cowboy, the horse, and the bison. Included with museum admission.

The Briscoe Western Art Museum and National Parks Service Teams are committed to educating the San Antonio community about the history and art of our city, which started with the establishment of the Spanish colonial missions. The Briscoe Western Art Museum is proud to host a diverse collection of artwork and artifacts featuring the San Antonio missions.
