Saturday, September 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Society of Animal Artists (SAA), founded in 1960, is devoted to promoting excellence in the artistic portrayal of the creatures sharing our planet, and to the education of the public through art exhibitions, informative seminars, lectures and teaching demonstrations. The SAA’s membership, past and present, represents a veritable who’s who of artists from around the world. At the Briscoe, we will celebrate art and the animal though the lens of the American West. The event will be held in conjunction with our fall exhibition. For fall 2019, the exhibition is Art and the Animal: Society of Animal Artists.
Come experience our fall exhibition, Art and the Animal, as it comes to life at the Wild West, Wildlife! Community Day. Fun for the entire family, kids and kids at heart will get to make memorable wildlife crafts, interact with native wildlife, experience hands-on demonstrations, have story time with the San Antonio Public Library, and much more! Admission is FREE for the entire family and includes access to the museum.
