Presented for both In-Person or Online Participation – Whether you attend in-person or from your “Home on the Range”, please review the following steps to make the most out of your Night of Artists experience. There are two auctions and your online registration will garner access to both.
Step 1: REGISTER
To bid in Night of Artists, you must register on our website here or by downloading Night of Artists in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We recommend completing the registration process in advance of the event to avoid a delay during the auction events.
Once you have downloaded the app, you will be asked to submit your email and create a password.
Step 2: PERUSE
Begin perusing the lots available. Add favorites to your watch list and “follow” your favorite artists. Once you choose to begin bidding, you will be required to enter your credit card information. We will NOT charge your card unless you are the winning bidder.
Step 3: START BIDDING
Online Art Auction – 235 Lots
Start competitively placing bids on your favorite pieces NOW! You can view your bids in the ‘My Bids’ section and see if others are bidding against you. You will receive an email and push notifications if you have been outbid by another collector. On March 27 at 10:00pm, the Online Art Auction ends. Bidding stops with the highest bidders winning each lot.
Grand Live Auction – 31 Lots
The Grand Live Auction will take place on March 27 at 7:30pm. Log on via desktop or mobile device to competitively bid in a hybrid live auction with international collectors. Absentee and phone bidding are available. The Grand Live Auction closes on March 27 with winning bids announced by auctioneer.
Registration on the Online Platform
You do not need a ticket to the event on March 27 to purchase art in the Online Art Auction or the Grand Live Auction. Still, we highly encourage you to do so through our in-person or “Home on the Range” options. Click here to register to bid.
Night of Artists 20th Anniversary Exhibition Opening Celebration & Grand Live Auction
Taking place on March 27 at 7:30pm, the Exhibition Opening Celebration & Grand Live Auction has options for everyone to participate in the 20th Anniversary. Whether you choose to attend in-person or at your “Home on the Range”, click here for more information and to purchase a ticket.
If you prefer using a laptop or desktop computer, click here to register for both sales. We recommend real-time bidders confirm the streaming speed and robustness of the internet connection before bidding.
Download the free Night of Artists mobile app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to bid from your smartphone or tablet. Leave bids in advance, set limits for your bids, or bid in real-time, from your phone or tablet.
To place an absentee bid, fill out and sign an ABESENTEE BID FORM that states the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an artwork (lot). Museum staff will then bid on your behalf during the live auction. We consider your maximum bid to be a limit, not an offer, and will bid only as high as needed to win the bid. Download an ABSENTEE BID FORM here.
New this year, the museum offers phone bidding during the Grand Live Auction as a courtesy to registered bidders. If you prefer phone bidding, museum staff will call you during the live auction, a few lots in advance of your selected lots. The museum staff will communicate the live bidding to you on the phone, and then place your bid in real-time. We are expecting a high volume of telephone bidding requests for a limited number of available lines. Phone bids will be entered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to bid by phone, please submit your bid form in advance of March 25, 2021 at noon. Click here to download the bidding form.
Grand Live Auction and/or the Online Art Auction in-person bidding participants must either purchase an event ticket or attend as a sponsor (or sponsor guest). Please register in advance by downloading the mobile app. Although you are attending in-person, you will still bid in the Online Art Auction from your smartphone or tablet. You will receive a bid paddle for the Grand Live Auction for bidding or you may continue to bid via your smartphone device or tablet.
