Each year, the Briscoe Western Art Museum celebrates National Day of the Cowboy with a free community event for all ages. This year's celebration featured a variety of activities inspired by our Andy Warhol: Cowboys and Indians exhibition. CLICK BELOW to view photos from this year's event!

Screenprinting with San Anto Cultural Arts

Blotted Line Cowboy Boot Drawings: Use the printmaking technique that Andy Warhol utilized early in his career to make your own cowboy boot drawings

Cowboy Artist-in-Action: Edgar Sotelo

Chuck Wagon Cooking: Sandra Gammill-Julian and the Rollin' Texas Style chuck wagon serving up beans, flatbread, and cobbler.

Lil Partners Zone: Lounge on our campfire pillows, peruse books on cowboys and the West, and take a minute to relax in the A/C. Books provided by the San Antonio Public Library

Western Pop Photo Spot: The perfect spot for selfies complete with props and WANTED poster frames

Cowboy Character Actors: Dressed in authentic gear, these performers pay tribute to the Old West through roping, branding, and carousing with guests.

Tours: Explore cowboys, cowgirls, and vaqueros with a docent on a fun tour of the Museum. (Adult & Family tours offered)

Paleteria San Antonio: Selling fresh, hand-made ice pops

Ranger Creek Brewing and Distilling: Imbibe in an adult beverage or two

Big Cedar FeverEnjoy the music of this Western Swing band
