In conjunction with A Life In The Wild exhibit, the Briscoe is holding a FREE community day festival with activities and workshops revolving around the Western wildlife theme with a focus on Texas habitats, wildlife, and nature. Families are sure to enjoy animal-themed art activities and local wildlife expert presentations all day!

MEET BEAR 399
6:30 – 8:30 pm
Join us as Todd Wilkinson, author of Grizzlies of Pilgrim Creek: An Intimate Portrait of 399, the Most Famous Bear of Greater Yellowstone talks about the most famous bear in the world, Bear 399. He’ll also discuss the most iconic wildlife ecosystem in America, one that belongs to all Americans, the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Free for members, $14 general admission: Register today.
Continue to discover nature in the heart of San Antonio! Join San Antonio Poet Laureate Andrea Vocab Sanderson in the McNutt Sculpture Garden where we will commune with nature and work hands on with clay sculpting, sketch drawing or watercolor painting. Be inspired to explore Dreamweek’s themes of Representation and Identification.After a short break, guest will be immersed in the exhibit Thomas D. Mangelsen: A Life In The Wild for that last day of the show. After presenting an original work of poetry inspired by these images, Vocab will invite guests to choose an animal for their own poetic inspiration.
